Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu 8.10, kernel 2.6.27-11-generic.
It appears that files left in /lib/modules/`uname -r` are not cleaned up properly when removing old kernel versions. This results in some directories for the old kernel left behind. According to below-linked bug report, these files are generated by depmod when using dkms, but should be removed by the kernel uninstall. See <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=456857> and attached logfile for more information. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- files left in /lib/modules by dkms not cleaned up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369625 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
