I didn't reopen the bug, since I'm not sure this is related. Scroll button now controls "Front" channel, but when PCM is set to 100, and Front to 0, one can hear sound (a bit too loud) . Same thing with Front set to 100, and PCM to 0.
Raising Front from 0 to ~40 wouldn't impact sound volume. After 40, volume goes up. Only way to kill the sound is to mute it, or to set the source (PCM, CD, Line...) of the sound and "Front" channel to 0. I tried modprobing snd-hda-intel with model=hp, as suggested in other bug reports, but that results are the same (with couple of channels less). -- Buttons control headphone on Intel HDA https://launchpad.net/bugs/66286 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
