Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool
Reference: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcalctool/+question/69263 (This would be more of an enhancement than a bug) I am a moderately frequent user of gcalctool, and I am a SW programmer, so I like to use the Bit Editor feature and related. Somehow, gcalctool got in a state where the accuracy was set to 0. I could not figure out why 3/2 = 2 !!! Rather, I figured I knew what was happening, but I didn't know how it got to that state or how to clear it. I eventually found the "Acc" pulldown and fixed the problem. But that is not intuitive, IMHO. Especially since that pulldown is not available in any mode except Scientific. I think the easiest thing for most users would be a "reset to defaults" option that would get everything back to normal. Someone mentioned command line methods to reset gcalctool, but those are even less intuitive. ** Affects: gcalctool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Calc needs easy method to reset to defaults https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369904 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
