Well, I'm using Intrepid, and guess what, the bug is still there! It's true that PulseAudio doesn't hang as often as it did on Jaunty - now it might hang after a week of running continuously. But it DOES hang, and unlike before, it restarts automatically upon hanging, which is why if I open a new process to test sound, it will work. Problem is, upon restarting it terminates all audio streams open at the moment, and the programs using it cannot generate any more audio until they are restarted. Of course, restarting Firefox every time this happens is not an option.
