Public bug reported:
Running on a Dell Inspiron 5100. 256 MB RAM.
Ubuntu 9.04 alternate installer, i386.
Completely fresh install, not upgrade.
Stock install; no packages installed, no packages even updated.
I installed 9.04 without a hitch. I logged in, configured my wireless
network, disabled GNOME Sounds, GNOME Splash Screen and the Bluetooth
Applet and restarted. These were the *only* actions taken on this
machine.
When my computer turns on, it goes through the BIOS and immediately gets
stuck at a black screen with a blinking underscore. GRUB does not even
load. There is no HDD activity.
Let me know if any additional information is required.

Importance: Undecided
