Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Description:
Black fonts won't print, get only blank spaces where black. Other colors (like
red) will print while all black colors don't show up. Tried changing font
color for entire page to "automatic" and still printed blank page. Then tried
changing all colors to "black" and again printed blank page. I am able to
print black from different sources i.e. Firefox webpages, no issues with the
printer itself. There are also no issues printing from Microsoft Word in
Windows XP partition.

System details:
I am using Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope with OpenOffice 3.0.1 Build 9379

My printer is a Canon iP6700D using the "iP6000D" CUPS drivers (latest
as of 05/01/09).

Expectations:
I expected the black colored fonts to print and they did not.
