Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dhcp3-client
Kubuntu 9.04 (Upgraded from Intrepid) dhcp3-client (3.1.1-5ubuntu8) I am using pppoe to connect to my provider. Since I configured pppoe with pppoeconf in Hardy all worked fine after each upgrade: After booting my internet was available immediately. After the upgrade to kubuntu jaunty (9.04) the DNS was not set, but the connection worked. How I fxied it (solution found in german ubuntu forums: http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/kein-zugriff-in-s-internet-mit- jaunty/2/): In the /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf I removed "interface-mtu," (line 23) and rebooted. I'm not sure this is a real solution, I think it is only a workaround and it should be fix for further releases! Same problem was reported here already: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7203875&posted=1 (I wrote the workaround there) ** Affects: dhcp3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dhcp dns dsl jaunty pppoe pppoeconf ** Tags added: dhcp dns dsl jaunty pppoe pppoeconf -- No DNS servers whith dsl-connection using pppoe https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371218 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
