Sorry that this has taken so long.... First, is this still an issue? If it is, then could you please do the following, so that we get the log information that we need: In your /etc/X11/xorg.conf, in the "Device" section, add the line Option "ModeDebug" "true" Then you log out and in again (this starts a new session and new logs) and then on the command line, run the command: apport-collect 342904 This should automatically upload more information than what we already got from you, most important is Xorg.0.log which now gets more information due to the ModeDebug setting and, and the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `xrandr --verbose`.
You say that this is happening when you're using a docking station. Does it also happen when you have the external monitor connected without the docking station? If there is a difference, please run the apport-collect command in this configuration as well. -- [i945] Kubuntu Jaunty - HP/Compaq nc6400 laptop, Intel 945 GM, screen resolution wrongly detected when mounted in docking station https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342904 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
