There is a work around that I have figured out, you may do either one of
two things. If you have the KDE Wallet Subsystem turned on, it will save
your settings, or if you set the values manually through the
configuration file located
/{home}/.kde/share/apps/networkmanagement/connections/somecrazystringconfignamelocate the following section [802-11-wireless-security] authalg=open group= keymgmt=None leapusername= pairwise= proto= securityType=WEP40 weptxkeyindex=0 #these will be missing, add the following keys and enter what you need. since I was using a hex key for the WEP I added the following password (located where the # symbols are) password= leappassword= psk= wepkey0=######### wepkey1= wepkey2= wepkey3= weppassphrase= I hope it helps! -- [jaunty] NetworkManager widget doesn't save connection data https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351628 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-network-manager in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
