Thanks for your bugreport.
This is most likely the space it needs in /var/cache/apt/archives to
download the required deb packages. Please free some space and try the
upgrade again (e.g. via the same method you used for /usr).
If you think this is a real bug, then please include the upgrade logs in
/var/log/dist-upgrade/*
