Note that if you have installed the plugin manually already (via "hp-
plugin" or "hp-setup") you need to remove the plugin before testing the
new system-config-printer. In a tertminal window enter the command
sudo rm /usr/share/hplip/data/plugin/*.run
Then start system-config-printer again, click the button for a new
printer and in the wizard choose your printer again. If you click on
"Forward" you should get asked whether you want to download the plugin.
Opt for downloading it and after the download finishes, you should get a
window asking you for a print queue name. Click "Cancel" here, as you
wanted to test only the plugin download.
