** Description changed:
- I have a IBM Thinkpad T61P laptop. I've always used Ubuntu on this laptop and
the wireless always worked perfectly until I installed Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. I
tried both GUI (wicd and network manager-gnome) and still the same problem. I
can connect to access point with visible SSID but not Hidden SSID. I used
"iwlist scan" and it shows my router with a line "SSID="""
+ I have a IBM Thinkpad T61P laptop. I've always used Ubuntu on this laptop and
the wireless always worked perfectly until I installed Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. I
jumped from Ubuntu 8.04 to 9.04 so I don't know if 8.10 was working or not. I
tried both GUI (wicd and network manager-gnome) and still the same problem. I
can connect to access point with visible SSID but not Hidden SSID. I used
"iwlist scan" and it shows my router with a line "SSID="""
Using "iwconfig wlan0 essid <routeur_name>" doesn't list anything.
Also, When installing network-manager, it freeze my computer when
rebooting. It says that the services failed to stop correctly then right
after, a new line appears and says: "deconfiguring networking
devices..." or something like that. Also a lot of strange codes appear
and all of these lines aren't written in any log files. I have to close
the laptop manually because the system has completly froze.
Here is my wireless card model:
