** Description changed: Have a newish install of Intrepid 8.10 fully up-to-date. I can make smb connections to a Debian fileserver running Samba - these appear in the - Places menu. BUT they do NOT appear in the Firefox 3.0.7 'Save Page as' - dialog. I need this to save (and open) stuff to and from network shares. + Places menu. - Firefox 3.0.7 is on several other computers running Hardy; same network, - same shares. I conclude its an aspect of Mozilla / Intrepid integration. + BUT these connections do NOT appear in the Firefox 3.0.7 'File > Open' + or 'File > Save Page as' dialogs. - Do I need to install some other package to get this working ? + Similarly with Jaunty / Mozilla 3.0.10. + + Meanwhile Firefox 3.0.7 / Hardy shows smb connections as expected. + + In all cases users' home directory has .gvfs folder with connection name + eg 'prosserg on esther2' present
