Work around to change the primary monitor:

1) Using nvidia-setting (Menu "System":Line "Admintration": Click on
"NVIDIA X server settings") disable the current primary monitor leaving
the other screen enabled under "X Server Display Configuration". You
may have to run from terminal "sudo /usr/bin/nvidia-settings"

2) Save xorg.conf, Quit.

3) Restart the X Server (Log out/log in or restart)

4) Using nvidia-setting (enu "System":Line "Admintration": Click on
"NVIDIA X server settings") enable the disabled monitor under "X Server
Display Configuration". You may have to run from terminal "sudo
/usr/bin/nvidia-settings"

5) Save xorg.conf, Quit.

6) Restart the X Server (Log out/log in or restart)
