Ok, I am still with my last install of ubuntu, yesterday, I have tried
to use the jackd server, I have done some changes in the gnome sound
manager, and now, the problem is back !
If I don't turn on the instrument plugged in the SPDIF-IN, I have no
sound.
I think this problem can be related to the alsa driver, because the only
changes I maid is to add my user to the disk group, and change some
settings in the gnome volume manager.
I don't think this problem is from pulseaudio.
I will try as soon as possible the test mainline version of the kernel.
