Hmmm, did you change your /etc/init.d/tomcat6 file ? (in doubt, please
attach it to the bug). The official one just recreates the temp
directory at every start...
You can try "sudo apt-get purge tomcat6" then "sudo apt-get install
tomcat6" to restore the right file.
