@Ilya: bug 349314 isn't for this chipset, so that's why it doesn't help. The good news is that bug 314928 has a different test version of the kernel which fixes the MTRR allocation problems - maybe try that one and report back on that discussion: try "cat /proc/mtrr" on the kernel you have now,
If you are using "fixmtrr.sh" you'll need to stop using it temporarily to make this comparison.
