Public bug reported:
After upgrading from 8.04 to 9.04, the slash/question key stopped
working. Using xev, I realized that the X was thinking that the key was
the Right Control (Control_R), keycode 105. But the keyboard of the ibm
thinkpad t61 doesn't have a right control. I've tried both on kde and
gnome. Even on the text console it doesn't work. Tried messing with the
setxkbmap as it has an entry for my notebook's model. Nothing worked.
The only way i got to workaround this issue was by changing the mapping
with the xmodmap. Changed the mapping of the keycode 105 to be the
slash/question, not Control_R anymore. But it won't work on text console
either, only X. On the text console I have to use the AltGr + Q
combination to get the slash, and AltGr + W combination to get the
question.
