I might add that I got 1920x1200 to work in the same computer with Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid). There was some hassle, perhaps changing between the drivers a couple of times and a couple of reboots, but no tweaking of xorg.conf, etc.
There probably is no connection, but Windows doesn't get the resolution right either. There the desktop is too wide to fit into the display area, part of it being left outside, although the driver (latest, from Nividia web site) says that the resolution is set to 1920x1200. -- [Jaunty] Resolution 1920x1200 not available after installing Nvidia driver 173 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372727 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
