Hi
in gnome 2.17.5 the control center has been replaced with some code from
this applet, but when you install this applet it also installs the
previous copy of the control center. Since those changes went upstream
(gnome-control-center) I think it would be wise to ditch it's internal
copy and make it launch the control center provided by stock gnome.

gnome-main-menu should launch new gnome's control center instead of it's
bundled one.
