Public bug reported:

To start with I am a complete noob, so if i am missing something easy I
apologize now.

After a week or so in my spare time I have been reading help forums at
ALSA, Ubuntu, Intel and IRC with no solution yet. I just reinstalled
Juanty and still have no sound. I did the reinstall because I had
everything messed up from changes I tried from the various sources.

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

 apt-cache policy packagename
W: Unable to locate package packagename

I expected the sound to run with no issue, It did not.

output from 'bash alsa-info.sh'
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=32f65e5e1e8f9c50258404460d1bf3c24f828997

Please help me ?
