I also have a 25 seconds delay when I'm running file-roller manually through command line :
$ file-roller --add ./PDF/ there is no disk load during the operation, and the PDF directory is empty... I don't know what is causing the delay in file-roller because it doesn't display any message. I also have this delay with this command (I don't know if it can help) : $evolution mailto:""?attach="file:///home/nic/Bureau/ODRHTCMAGIC.pdf"; running both file-roller & evolution directly (without argument) is OK, delay appears when passing a file . . .
