remi_2: I managed (a while ago) to install Ubuntu 6.06 with instlux (old historic stuff) on a PC with Asus P5B deluxe mainboard and only SATA HD/CD/DVD devices: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=151507&package_id=192787
The upgrade instructions from 6.06 to 6.10 has now unfortunately been removed from the version history: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes (click "Page history" at the bottom of the page and check an older version of the page to find link which does not work anymore) If I remember correctly I entered a lot of "old-releases" similar to stuff on this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DapperUpgrades ...but with URL's to somewhere else in the archives. If you are unsuccessful in upgrading to 6.10 -you should at least be able to test SATA with Ubuntu 6.06. -- Slow SATA performance https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
