I have the exactly same problem (refresh issues using compiz with some kde apps). I'll post more information soon. Some data for now: $ dpkg -s compiz|grep Ver Version: 1:0.8.2-0ubuntu8 $ dpkg -s okular|grep Ver Version: 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2 $ dpkg -s nvidia-glx-180|grep Ver Version: 180.44-0ubuntu1 Using an NVIDIA 8400M GS card
