There's been a bunch of changes to -intel since your last comment - would you please test to see if this is still an issue in the released Jaunty with all updates, and if so, also test if the 2.7.0 driver resolves it:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/ If you can reproduce the issue even with all this, the next thing to do would be to collect register dumps before and after the issue. intel_reg_dumper in Intrepid and newer versions of Ubuntu can be used to get a register dump. It is provided by the -intel driver's debug package: sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel-dbg run twice, once for when you have a good working screen (with either -intel or -vesa, any resolution), and once in the broken case: intel_reg_dumper > regdump_good.txt intel_reg_dumper > regdump_broke.txt In the broken case, you may need to run it from the console or from an external ssh session. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- [i945GME] black screen when going full screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292549 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
