Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xfce4-session

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
Version of xfce4-session: 4.6.0-1ubuntu2
Version of xfce4-terminal: 0.2.10-1ubuntu2

The symptoms are the same as in Bug #308354: When a session is started
(i.e. aftter loggin in to gdm), all xfce terminal windows are placed
using the default placement policy (i.e. all on top of each other,
centered to the screen) and not where they were when the session was
saved.

When starting xfce-session-settings and open the "Session" tab, I can not see
xfce4-terminal in the list of programs.
When I save the session and look in .config/session-state/<session-file>, I
see xfce4-termial under Legacy1_Command
with a long list of commandline arguments, but all --geometry arguments lack
the position, i.e. they look like
--geometry=80x45

In contrast to this, restoring the session for gnome-terminal works. When I
start a gnome-terminal, it does appear
in the Program list of xfce4-session-settings, and when I save the session, the
window positions and
sizes will be written to a file in .config/session-state/<filename> and an
entry added to the session file in .cache/sessions/<session-file> which
references it.

Maybe the bug is in xfce4-terminal instead.
