Public bug reported:
i have downloaded feisty herd 2 and have tried to install it on my dell
precision m70 laptop (this also happened with herd 1)
boots up ok, click install but when i click next after step 4 the screen
just seems to crash and shows brown and white lines
edgy installed perfectly on this laptop with no problems, graphics card
is a nvidia quadro fx go1400
i have just tried again but this time when it froze i went into tty1 to
shutdown but thought i would have a look at tty7 again just out of
curioisty and this time i could see the username input screen and it has
installed fine after that
