Yes! Usually OOo will define print areas when Print Preview is clicked. But that does NOT happen, when the sheet is a copy of a already existing sheet!
Try to copy a spreadsheet to a new location in the same file. Then click Print Preview. Nothing is shown at all. No print areas defined, and the page settings are gone as well. Now try to move or copy a spreadsheet to a new file. Click print preview. The preview is shown, but the page settings (Landscape, align tables etc.) are lost. What this means: When a spreadsheet is copied, both print areas and page settings are lost in the process, and no new print areas are defined, when Print Preview is clicked. When a spreadsheet is copied to a new file, print areas and page settings are lost as well, but new print areas are defined when Print Preview is clicked.
