Could you please select a "Failsafe terminal" session from the login
screen and sign in with this. Once you have done this, please run
"gnome-session --debug 2>&1 | tee ~/gsm.log". Your session will now
start up. Please try to shutdown to recreate the problem, then attach
the resulting file "gsm.log" to this bug report.
