The problem installing LiVES and possibly other packages from www.debian-multimedia.org is that the package that should be named libmjpegtools is - named libmjpegtools0c2a in Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10 - named libmjpegtools0 in www.debian-multimedia.org The package is correctly named starting with Ubuntu 9.04 and DMM "testing" distribution.
Given that this bug is 2.5 years old without any action, given Ubuntu's habit to send their users upstream and given that upstream DMM maintainer stated that he will definitely do nothing about it, I have constructed a DIY kit. In Ubuntu 8.04 or 8.10, click on the attached libmjpegtools and libmjpegtools0 DEB files to install them and have the corresponding dependencies resolved when installing packages such as LiVES. ** Attachment added: "libmjpegtools0_1.8.0-0.2ubuntu5_i386.deb" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26487685/libmjpegtools0_1.8.0-0.2ubuntu5_i386.deb ** Attachment added: "libmjpegtools_1.8.0-0.2ubuntu5_i386.deb" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26487686/libmjpegtools_1.8.0-0.2ubuntu5_i386.deb -- i can't update lives, transcode, mjpegtools and libmjpegtools0c2a https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
