I don't seem to have this problem under Jaunty. Thought it was fixed,
but reading the last posting, that doesn't appear to be the case.
Therefore I assume that the reason I don't have problems is simply that
I did a clean reinstall instead of a dist-upgrade and got lucky.
Apparently, the occurence of this bug is really completely random, since
the hardware is of course completely the same as before.
