Before installing, I upgraded ubiquity to the latest version (1.3.12) and the install went relatively smoothly. The only hiccup was when I opted to do manual partitioning, it popped up qtparted in a separate window. I setup the partitions as needed, then closed qtparted and went back to the installer. The installer then popped up an error message stating that qtparted had crashed and asked me to retry, restart or cancel (the buttons seemed a little confusing and did not match up well to the options stated in the error message). I think I clicked retry. At any rate, I ended up quitting out of the installer, and starting the installation again. This time I left qtparted open when I went back to the installer and everything worked fine.
