Same problem on a Lenovo W700 with a Intel Wireless link 5300. Basic problem is: how can I activate the wireless software if fn+f5 (toggle wireless) is not working.
The commando given (echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/iwlagn/0000\:03\:00.0/rfkill/rfkill0/state) does not work. (With a different path,) I can not change the state: not allowed even as root. Runnning with kernel 28.12 general 64 bits P.S. Without the wireless connection the system is very very stable. Due to a crash I lost the wireless connection and I cannot get it working again. I do not known why Ubuntu crashed hard. Before the crash Ubuntu crashed two time a day. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367499, and https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370052 which do not occur anymore. So it looks like the 5300 driver is buggy. -- wireless not working in 9.04 RC on HP EliteBook 6930p https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364174 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
