I have received this error on several different occasions and the only
problem it seems to cause is to make my laptop beep like crazy when first
turned on. I see no rhyme or reason for when it does it. It is just a small
chance that during the boot up of the system the machine will start beeping
like crazy and then when the system gets to the desktop kernel oops pops up
and says that I have had a kernel error.

Not sure what causes the machine to do this but it is annoying and slightly
embarrassing (plus gives our resident Linux hater ammo).

The machine is a Lenovo R61 laptop that work gave me.

If there is any more information you need please let me know and I will see
what I can do.

Thanks,

Alan Jenkins
