Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic

I finally found some time to inestigate the issue...
It seems kernel module ueagle-atm from Edgy (x86) is causing high load average
(always >=1.0).

The solution is to use patch from:
https://mail.gna.org/public/ueagleatm-dev/2006-10/msg00003.html

and recompile the kernel.

It works for me. Still stable as a rock :)

PS. This improved a little perfomance of my Kubuntu but I also tuned CPU
and HZ=1000 configuration so I'm not sure if the above is sufficient.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
