It was build on a Debian unstable, and the package worked on the current Ubunty edgy. The first should not cause a problem, the latter can be easily changed to libgnutls12 and that should work. Modify debian/control for that and it should work. Unfortunately one can't make a 'generic-latest-on-the-buildbox' control file as far as I know. The dependency for libgnutls13 is there as libgnutls12 is deprecated due to security bugs or something in that area.
