The good news is that my Netgear cardbus wireless adapter works fine in
Ubuntu 9.04.
The card signals me differently. Only the left light comes on, and it
stays steady/on while working. As you will see below, the Kubuntu 8.04.2
data and card behavior is different.

On the Kubuntu 8.04.2, which is my main use distribution, the data is
