Hi, not that I would understand what happened, but the behaviour seems to be normal now. , output is the following: j...@jllt1:~$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure sl-modem-source [sudo] password for jens: Removing all DKMS Modules Done. Adding Module to DKMS build system Doing initial module build Installing initial module Done. j...@jllt1:~$ After the installation failed, I just left it since there is only a remote chance that I might need the built-in modem anyway. In the meantime, there were several updates in the meantime including the kernel. Maybe tht couldbe a reason.... sorry I can't be of more help. tried to boot the notebook with all old kernels which are still on, but with none of them I get an error message, always the same output of dpkg.
