Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-app-install

I started the gnome-app-install applet from the Applications menu and it
crashed. The window appeared, with all in-window controls disabled, and
a progress bar advancing rapidly. (Presumably, it enumerated the
installed package list or something like that.) As far as I could see it
crashed either during or immediately after that stage.

The bug reporter asked me to add a .crash file, I'll do it right away.

I use Synaptic and aptitude usually, this was just a whim, so I'm not
sure if it's common. (By the way, Synaptic works right now, so the
package lists should be OK.) I'll try again later to see if it still
crashes. Let me know if I can add any information.

** Affects: gnome-app-install (Ubuntu)

         Status: Unconfirmed
