Binary package hint: synaptic
I was using the synaptic package manager as root to purge files listed
in the sidebar menu as Not installed (residual config). The script (?)
returned an error code of 1, and automagically called the launchpad
'report a problem' routine.
I had Crtl-a'd the entire list, and the 'details' screen looks like
synaptic had got through purging most of 'em. I haven't fooled around
with any virtual installs for a while now (they all seem to run too
slowly on this machine):
