Same here. In OpenOffice it's possible to sort by any column and expand the selection. But it's easier and more intuitive in Excel. Find below steps for clarification.
Using OpenOffice 2.4 on Ubuntu: 1. Go to menu EDIT > SELECT ALL 2. Go to menu DATA > SORT 3. Under SORT BY select the column you want to sort by 4. Click on OK button Using Excel 2003 on Windows. (This is the expected result for OpenOffice): 1. Select any column. 2. Click on any SORT button. 3. A pop up window will open. Select EXPAND THE SELECTION. Find attached screenshot.
