Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
Test case type: Ubuntu Feisty X86, Alternate CD. Changing login settings. Image ID: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/feisty/herd-2/feisty- alternate-i386.iso Dowloaded and burned: feisty-desktop-i386.iso Date of testing: 17.jan.2007 Md5sum confirmed: Yes. Pass/Fail: Fail. ----------------------------------------- I can't change the login settings using gdmsetup, this is from both the control center & the CLI. When I issue 'gksudo gdmsetup' I'm asked for my password and then nothing happens, it just seems to wait indefinitely. This happens at every attempt, on every login - no errors are ever logged, it just waits Hardware specs (if applicable) can be found in this post: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showpost...41&postcount=1 Also posted @ ubuntuforums: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=340680 ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Ubuntu Fiesty Herd 2 - i386 Alternate CD - gdmsetup https://launchpad.net/bugs/80323 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
