Okay. There is a widelands-dbg package, but not a libogg0-dbg or -dbgsym package (even with the pitti repository) present. If I am reading the dump correctly, that was the root of the problem. Running the code again with the widelands-dbg package installed, it crashed the first time I selected the 1024*768, Fullscreen and hit apply.
I have attached a report with a more useful stack-dump in it. I have also not found a libsdl-mixer debug package. I will try once again - having used the "old way" to get debug packages. The old style builds for libogg0. The build-deps for libsdl-mixer are rather large though. ** Attachment added: "More comprehensive" http://librarian.launchpad.net/5779586/_usr_games_widelands.s3CXGf.crash -- crashes with signal 11 https://launchpad.net/bugs/73199 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
