I can confirm this behavior. Apparently the installation scripts for
wifi-radar in jaunty were not modified to work with a system using sudo
rather than su. The menu entry can be modified so that wifi-radar will
run from the menu. Use the menu editor, select the wifi-radar entry, and
click on properties. Edit the command field to read "gksudo wifi-radar"
(without quotes).
