Now, with Edgy, I use power manager (the defaul program) and not kpowersave, and I do not have that problem any more - my laptop does hibernation and suspend quite successfully.
However, I have noticed that if I have a bluetooth usb stick inserted (and maybe a simple usb memory stick as well), I get strange effects: after resuming from hibernate the computer in about half a minute suddenly shuts down. What logs I should attach to help you find what the problem is? I can do other testing things as well if someone tells me what to do. Would the logs you referred to above be still useful? Another thing on Edgy: after upgrade to Edgy the hibernate did not work, only the suspend. Later I noticed, that the problem was, that the upgrade corrupted my swap partition (it was no longer displayed as swap) and so there was nowhere to hibernate. This also happened on my home computer, so it must be a problem. -- problem with acpi suspend/hibernate (edgy beta1) https://launchpad.net/bugs/63435 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
