just for the record it still persist in up-to-date jaunty with the following
device:
ID 0ccd:0038 TerraTec Electronic GmbH Cinergy T^2 DVB-T Receiver

my current message is also:
dvb-usb: bulk message failed: -71 (1/0)

"sudo modprobe -r dvb_usb_cinergyT2" is not working:
FATAL: Module dvb_usb_cinergyT2 is in use.

but unplugging usb and reconnecting it helps and my box is running
again. but i have no clue what's going on. with intrepid (AFAIR) i had
this behaviour more often, as i always needed to de- & attach the usb
cabel after boot for getting the device working.

@all: has someone experienced this issue after having the device
dettached during boot and plugged in on the fully loaded system? and
could all affected by this bug post their hardware (-> lsusb) and the
driver they're using (->lsmod -> dvb_usb_WHATEVER), so we may isolate
the problem to specifc hardware & drivers.

best regards
