Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rdiff-backup

I ran the following command:

  rdiff-backup -v5 -r 1D backups/foo/bar /tmp/

... expecting to get a copy of 'bar' in /tmp. Unfortunately what
happened was my entire /tmp directory was deleted and replaced with a
copy of 'bar' from 1 day ago.

This is extremely surprising and undesirable behaviour.

** Affects: rdiff-backup (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
