Sorry that this bug was incorrectly marked as a duplicate.
mmcblk* didn't work very well in Ubuntu 8.10, but we fixed quite a
number of problems with such devices in Ubuntu 9.04, and I believe it
should now work for you. Could you please try Ubuntu 9.04 and let us
know whether it works? Thanks in advance.
