Martin, HP LaserJet 1200 Foomatic/pxlmono (recommended) has just printed
a page fine after installing the jaunty-proposed version (it's the same
document I always used, see above). Before, pxlmono had always produced
the squares in jaunty. So i suppose the bug is dead. Thanks to everyone!

I assume it's a good idea to get rid of the -proposed repository if want
a stable system?
