The VLC media player has the exact same symptoms - the movie I'm using to reproduce the error is 512 x 288 XVID MPEG-4 25 frames per second AC-3 audio Surround 5.1 48000Hz 384 kbps.
I did manage once to switch to tty1 but usually I can't do anything just get many error messages on the screen. I didn't try restart xwin. I'm guessing this is the ati driver ... but as far as I know the Catalyst control center doesn't let me adjust anything useful. ** Summary changed: - linux crash - totem fullscreen or fit window with visual effects on (using ati driver) + linux crash - totem/vlc fullscreen or fit window with visual effects on (using ati driver) -- linux crash - totem/vlc fullscreen or fit window with visual effects on (using ati driver) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
